Terms of service

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. Company accounts may add team members, and the organisation administrator is responsible for what those members do on the platform.

Passa records confirmations given by named third parties such as former employers, referees and credential bodies. A verified status means a specific party confirmed a specific claim on a specific date. It is not a guarantee of competence, character or future performance, and it cannot be purchased. Paying for a plan never changes a verification status.

You keep ownership of your profile, CV, documents and answers. You grant JDC the licence needed to host and display them to the audiences you select, and to process them to run verification, assessments and search. You can change visibility, revoke sharing links or delete your account at any time.

If you use Passa to hire, you may only use candidate data for the role you are recruiting for. You must not scrape, resell or redistribute profiles, add them to external lists without consent, or use the platform to discriminate unlawfully. Contact details revealed through the unlock flow may only be used to contact the person about that opportunity. You remain responsible for your own hiring decisions and for compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and any other laws that apply to you.

Do not submit false information, impersonate anyone, upload documents you do not have the right to share, interfere with the platform's security, or attempt automated access outside the interfaces we publish. We may suspend accounts that break these rules or that present a fraud or safety risk.

Paid plans and Passa Pro renew for the billing period you choose until cancelled. Free trials require a valid card and convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand. Payments are processed by Paystack; JDC never stores full card numbers. Fees already incurred are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, and you can cancel future renewals at any time from billing settings.

We work to keep Passa available and accurate, but the service is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the maximum extent permitted, JDC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or hiring outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Our handling of personal data is set out in the privacy notice and cookie notice, which form part of these terms.

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access where you breach these terms, where required by law, or where continuing would create a security or fraud risk. On closure we delete or anonymise your data in line with the retention periods in the privacy notice.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes fall to Nigerian courts. Questions about these terms go to hello@josonseth.com.
